Now Hiring — Fort Worth, TX
Hiring experienced detailers — in-shop and mobile — plus one dedicated PPF installer. Commission pay, real appointment volume, and specialty lines that push ticket size.
My Detail Guys is Fort Worth's top-rated detailing operation — booked weeks out on core services, running active mobile routes across the metro, and expanding into specialty work that carries higher ticket value. We're not filling a slow shop. Volume is there. The work is consistent.
Detailers here are paid commission, not flat hourly. That means a better ticket translates directly into a better paycheck. Ceramic coating, RV, boat, and motorcycle jobs run larger than standard sedan details — and every one of those adds to your commission. The work rewards quality and throughput, not just showing up.
We also dropped our PPF program a while back and are rebuilding it from scratch. This isn't a position to fill an existing bay structure — it's the opportunity to establish it. The right applicant owns that lane.
Open Positions
Two detailer tracks, same skill standard. In-shop positions run the full service menu out of our East Fort Worth facility. Mobile positions take the same work to the customer across the DFW metro.
Bay-based work out of our 6925 E Lancaster Ave facility. Full-service detailing menu — interior deep cleans, exterior decontamination, clay, polish, and protection application. Speed matters, but we don't cut corners: the standard on every ticket is the same whether it's a daily driver or a customer's weekend car.
Specialty lines run through the same bay — RV interiors, boat cockpit and hull prep, ceramic coating prep, and motorcycle detailing. Those tickets carry more work and bigger commission. Prior experience is preferred; motivated candidates without a professional background will be considered.
Same service standard as the shop, delivered to the customer's home, office, or fleet location. MDG provides the mobile unit and all equipment — you bring the skillset and a valid driver's license.
Routes run across Fort Worth and surrounding DFW cities. Mobile appointments cover everything from standard interior/exterior details to ceramic coating prep, RV exterior, and motorcycle work when the customer's vehicle can't come to us. Larger specialty appointments, larger commission. A clean driving record is required.
Specialty Position
My Detail Guys ran a paint protection film program and stepped back from it. Now we're rebuilding — and we're doing it properly. That means hiring one installer who knows the craft and giving them the structure to run it.
This is not a support role. The hire steps into the lead position in the PPF bay: wrapping panels, establishing install procedures, and owning quality on every ticket that comes through. There is no one to shadow. If you have proven film-install experience, that's the environment you're walking into.
PPF is high-margin specialty work at a shop that already has a built customer base and an active booking pipeline. Commission is tied to a service category that carries real ticket weight — directionally, this is the highest-earning position on the floor. Specific rate confirmed during interview.
One hard filter on this role: prior film-install experience is required. We are not training a first-time installer on a paying customer's vehicle. If you have the experience and are looking to own a lane rather than fill a seat, send an application.
What This Role Is
Ground-Floor BuildMDG is rebuilding the PPF program — this hire establishes it.
Experience RequiredProven film-install experience is a hard requirement. Non-negotiable.
Commission PayHigh-margin specialty work means real commission upside. Rate confirmed in interview.
Existing PipelineActive customer base already in place. Volume comes with the shop, not cold-start territory.
Compensation
All positions — in-shop detailer, mobile detailer, and PPF installer — are commission-based. Flat hourly pay divorces your earnings from the quality and volume of your work. Commission doesn't. Better work generates better tickets. Better tickets generate better pay. Specialty lines like RV, boat, ceramic, and PPF carry higher service values, which means higher commission per appointment.
We're not going to publish specific rates on a web page — that conversation happens in the interview. What we can say: this is a commission structure built to reward technicians who show up, put quality work on every vehicle, and take specialty lines seriously.
Qualifications
Requirements vary by position. Read the column for the role you're applying to — especially the PPF installer column, which has one non-negotiable that differs from the detailer tracks.

Common Questions
Do I need prior detailing experience to apply?
Experience is preferred for in-shop and mobile detailer positions but is not a hard requirement — we have trained motivated candidates who came in without a professional background. PPF installation is the exception: proven film-install experience is required for that role, no exceptions, because we cannot train that skill on the job.
How does commission pay work for detailers at My Detail Guys?
Detailers at My Detail Guys are paid on commission, not flat hourly. Specific commission rates are confirmed during the interview process — apply and we will walk through the structure with you directly. What we can say: the structure rewards quality work and specialty lines, not just appointment count.
Do mobile detailers need to provide their own vehicle or equipment?
No. My Detail Guys provides the mobile unit and all equipment. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required for mobile detailer positions.
What types of vehicles do detailers work on at My Detail Guys?
Core work is cars, trucks, and SUVs across our full-service detailing menu. Detailers also work specialty lines — RVs, boats, motorcycles, and ceramic coating applications. Specialty jobs carry larger service tickets, which means larger commission per appointment.
Is the PPF installer position a new role?
Yes. My Detail Guys ran a PPF program previously and is rebuilding it. This is a ground-floor opportunity — the hire will establish the install bay structure, not fill an existing one. Proven film-install experience is required.
Where is the My Detail Guys shop located?
6925 E Lancaster Ave, Suite A, Fort Worth, TX 76112. Mobile detailer positions serve the Fort Worth metro and surrounding DFW cities. In-shop and PPF installer positions are based at our East Fort Worth facility.
