Why It Matters

How Texas Heat & UV Exposure Damage Your RV

240+ days of sun annually, 100°F+ summers, and road conditions from I-10 to Highway 380 accelerate every form of RV surface damage. Oxidation, membrane degradation, waterline staining, and faded gelcoat are the result of skipped maintenance — not age. Most of it is fully reversible.

Roof Protection

EPDM and TPO rubber roofs collect black streaks, mold, and UV degradation. Left untreated, the membrane dries, cracks, and leaks — at repair costs that dwarf detailing.

Sidewall Restoration

Oxidized gelcoat looks chalky and permanent — it usually isn't. Mechanical restoration removes the UV-damaged layer and brings back the original gloss without repainting.

Seal & Gasket Health

Cleaning and conditioning exterior seals and gaskets prevents the cracking and drying that leads to water intrusion. It's a maintenance step, not a cosmetic one.

Resale Value

Well-maintained RVs sell faster and command 15–20% higher prices than neglected units. A professional detail before listing is one of the highest-ROI things you can do.

We Come to Your Location

Most RV owners don't want to unhook, drive across town, and wait at a shop. We come to your home, storage facility, or RV park — wherever your rig is parked is where we work. We carry our own water and power. No hookups required on your end. As long as there's reasonable access around the vehicle, we can handle the job on-site.

Gelcoat Restoration Requires the Shop

Heavy oxidation removal, multi-stage compounding, and polishing require controlled conditions and heavy equipment to do correctly. This work — and this work only — is completed at our 6925 E Lancaster Ave facility in Fort Worth. Everything else comes to you.

All RV Types Welcome

The Most Neglected Part

RV Roof Cleaning & Seal Treatment

The roof is the most neglected part of most RVs — and the most expensive to repair when it fails. Rubber roofs (EPDM and TPO) accumulate black streaks, mold, and UV degradation that standard exterior washes don't address. Left untreated, the membrane dries out, becomes brittle, and eventually cracks and leaks. Roof repairs on a Class A can run $3,000–$10,000. A roof cleaning and UV treatment is $60–$269.

If you're seeing black streaks running down the sides of your RV, they're almost always coming from the roof. Cleaning the exterior without addressing the roof means those streaks are back in a few weeks. We treat both together. We also apply Moreau's Miracle Mist to mold and mildew deposits — a targeted mold remover that clears contamination without degrading rubber membrane or fiberglass.

  1. 1

    Roof Inspection

We walk the roof before washing to identify any cracked seams, failing caulk, or compromised areas that need attention before water contact. If we find anything, we let you know before starting.

  2. 2

    Thorough Hand Wash

Roof cleaned by hand using products formulated for rubber and fiberglass roofing — nothing that strips, dries, or degrades the membrane. Black streaks, algae, and accumulated debris are removed completely.

  3. 3

    Mold & Mildew Treatment

Moreau's Miracle Mist applied to any mold or mildew deposits — targeted treatment that clears contamination without harsh chemicals that degrade rubber or fiberglass materials.

  4. 4

    UV Protectant Treatment

UV-protectant conditioner applied to the membrane to slow future oxidation, restore flexibility, and extend roof lifespan. This is the step that most washes skip — it's the difference between cleaning and maintaining.

Interior Services

RV Interior Detailing

RV interiors take more abuse than a standard vehicle — they're lived in, cooked in, and exposed to moisture and odors that a car interior never sees. We do full interior work for all RV types and sizes.

RV Type Interior Detail Price
Class A Motorhome $400
Class C Mini Motorhome $300
Fifth Wheel $400
Travel Trailer (Pull-Behind) $350
Toy Hauler $350
Van Camper (Class B) $250
Every Interior Detail Includes
  • Vacuum all carpets, floors, and upholstery
  • Shampoo carpets and fabric seating with hot water extraction
  • Clean and condition leather surfaces (if equipped)
  • Wipe down all hard surfaces — counters, cabinets, dashboard
  • Sanitize bathroom and kitchen areas
  • Interior windows and mirrors cleaned streak-free
  • Detail all cracks, crevices, air vents, and storage areas
  • Moreau's Miracle Mist applied to any mold or mildew-affected surfaces — common in bathroom areas and on surfaces below roof runoff

Duration: 3–5 hours depending on RV size and layout. Mobile or shop available for most interior work.

Peeling seats or couches? Almost every RV that comes through our shop has peeling interior upholstery — Chinese RV furniture manufacturers spray-coat cloth bases with paint instead of using real vinyl or fabric, and it peels off eventually on every unit, including newer rigs. That's a restoration job, not a detailing job. It's handled by our sister brand My Upholstery Guys at the same East Lancaster location — real material, permanent fix.

Common Questions

RV Detailing FAQ

How much does RV detailing cost in Fort Worth?

Exterior pricing is per foot, measured bumper to bumper. Basic wash: $5/ft. Full exterior detail: $20/ft. Oxidation removal: $30/ft. For a 35-ft Class A, a full exterior detail starts at $700. Interior pricing is flat by RV type: Class A and Fifth Wheel $400, Travel Trailer and Toy Hauler $350, Class C $300, Class B $250. Roof care add-ons are $60 (wash) to $269 (wash + UV condition). Call with your length and type — we'll quote you in five minutes.

Can you detail my RV at my storage facility?

Yes. We regularly work at storage facilities and RV parks across DFW. As long as there's reasonable access around the vehicle and facility permission, we handle it on-site. The exception is gelcoat oxidation removal — that's shop-only due to equipment requirements. We carry our own water and power so there's nothing special you need to provide at the facility.

How long does a full RV detail take?

Basic exterior wash: 2–3 hours. Full exterior detail with machine polish and wax: 4–6 hours. Oxidation removal and gelcoat restoration: 1–2 days (shop service, depends on size and severity). Interior detail: 3–5 hours depending on RV type and condition. We give you a realistic estimate at booking — not a number that sounds good and then runs over.

What's the difference between a basic wash and a full exterior detail?

A basic wash ($5/ft) removes road grime, bug splatter, and surface dirt. A full exterior detail ($20/ft) goes deeper: machine polish removes light hazing and surface oxidation, then 3D Pro Series Speed with Montan wax is applied for 4–6 months of UV protection. The full detail also addresses chrome and metal trim. The result is restored gloss and protection that a wash alone can't achieve. If there's significant chalky oxidation, the Deluxe service ($30/ft) is required — the full detail won't cut through heavy oxidation.

My RV has significant oxidation — can you fix it?

Yes, in most cases. Oxidized gelcoat looks permanent but usually isn't. Our Deluxe Exterior Detail ($30/ft) uses high-speed marine compound to strip the UV-damaged layer from the sidewalls, multi-stage polish to restore gloss depth, and Jescar Ultra Lock+ Plus ceramic-polymer sealant to lock in the restored finish. Severe cases may require wet sanding before compounding. We save RV owners 70–90% versus repainting by restoring the existing gelcoat rather than starting over. We assess honestly — if it's too far gone to restore, we'll tell you upfront.

Do you detail travel trailers and fifth wheels, not just motorhomes?

Yes — all towable types. Fifth wheels, travel trailers, toy haulers, and cargo trailers are all handled with the same per-foot pricing structure as motorhomes. Interior pricing for travel trailers is $350 flat. Call us with your unit's length and type and we can give you a quote in under five minutes — no scheduling an in-person estimate just to find out if we can help.
