Water no longer sheets off in large droplets — instead it beads unevenly or just sits on the surface. Dirt and dust are harder to rinse off than they used to be. The gloss looks duller than it did after the original application. These are all signs the top hydrophobic layer has degraded and needs to be restored.
This Is Not a Full Reapplication
A ceramic coating boost service maintains an existing coating. It does not replace or reapply the base ceramic layer. Why We Use It
Not every ceramic maintenance product performs the same in real-world conditions. North Texas heat, humidity, and UV exposure are harder on coatings than most other environments. We use Adam's Graphene Boost because it delivers consistent results regardless of weather — it can be applied inside the shop in any conditions without streaking or smearing, which matters in DFW's climate where SiO2-based products can crystallize too fast in high humidity.

How It Works
The Boost Service Process
Five steps from drop-off to pickup. Most vehicles are done in a half day.
Surface Inspection
We assess the current condition of your coating — confirming it's still present, checking for contamination, and identifying any areas that need extra attention before the boost is applied.
Exterior Wash
A full contact wash removes surface dirt and contaminants. We're working on your existing coating — a clean surface is non-negotiable before any maintenance product goes on.
Decontamination
Iron remover and clay bar pull embedded brake dust, rail dust, and industrial fallout from the paint surface. Contamination underneath the boost product causes bonding failure — this step can't be skipped.
IPA Panel Wipe
An isopropyl alcohol wipe removes any remaining polish residue, wax, or oil from the surface. The coating needs a bare, clean paint surface to bond correctly. This is the final prep step before application.
Graphene Boost Application
Adam's Graphene Boost is applied panel by panel, allowed to flash, and buffed to a uniform finish. The vehicle cures for a minimum of 20 minutes before leaving the shop. We inspect under lighting before handoff.

A boost service removes contaminants, preps the surface, and applies a graphene-based maintenance product to restore the water-beading, self-cleaning, and protective properties the coating had when first applied. It is not a new coating — it's maintenance on the one that's already there.
How often do I need a ceramic coating service treatment?
Most ceramic coatings require an annual service treatment to maintain peak performance. Some brands, including CarPro Cquartz, explicitly require a yearly boost layer to maintain their warranty and coating life. Without annual maintenance, a ceramic coating's hydrophobic properties gradually degrade — the coating is still present but no longer performing at its rated level. We recommend booking your boost service at the same time each year, ideally before summer or before winter storage.
Can you service a coating that was applied by a shop that's no longer open?
Yes — this is one of the most common situations we see. If your original installer is no longer in business, your coating is still on the vehicle and still has life left in it.
